Congratulations to Ichiro Suzuki, the 3rd man ever to rack up 4,000 hits in professional baseball.
In typical Ichiro fashion, the Yankee outfielder took a knuckleball the opposite way for hit number 4,000.
He joins Pete Rose and Ty Cobb as the only players with 4,000 career hits in the highest levels of professional baseball. In his seven seasons in Japan, Ichiro accumulated 1,278 hits. Then during his 13 years in the US, he now has 2,722 major league hits.
